The branch work is cast from real twigs, and is sculpturally wrapped around the fluted silhouette of the long-necked urn, which is gracefully topped with an extended antique satin Cream shade. Twig has an on/off foot switch located on its power cord.

Designed by Freshwest (Marcus Beck and Simon Macro), the Moooi Brave New World Floor Lamp began as an exercise in random thought-initiated construction. Freshwest followed the method used to construct old Far Eastern bamboo scaffolding. With no plan or design in mind, each piece of wood is carefully notched and pegged together to form an essential part of the overall structure. Cast metal twigs appear to be growing out of the wide rectangular metal shade, the (non-uv) up and down light glinting off the gilded branches. Twig is offered in a hardwired or plug-in option, the latter of which includes a 36' cord cover that visually serves as a slender tree trunk.
