Founders Alexandre Joncas and Gildas Le Bars combined their individual visions and backgrounds to establish D’Armes in 2016. Joncas is the creative director and designer who counts among his influences the New Wave movement and 1980s sci-fi films, each of which fuels his fascination with how light affects people. Le Bars coordinates talent and lends his progressive socio-political ethos to the mix, ensuring D’Armes not only innovates, but does so responsibly.

Noteworthy Lighting From D’Armes

The RA Wall Sconce elevates the neon tube to new heights of elegance; its oval shape hangs from a circular bronze disc for a streamlined geometric look. Similarly shapewise, the RA Linear Suspension makes the most of contrast and simplicity. And the Ce Wall Sconce is somewhat of a departure from D’Armes straightforward simplicity, with a luxurious fringe that nevertheless embraces the studio’s minimal aesthetic.
