The Darmes Story
Founded in 2016, by Alexandre Joncas and Gildas Le Bars, whose dynamic approach unites the pragmatism of industrial techniques with the expressiveness of modern art. Nested in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec, Darmes has built its reputation on refining each step of the design process—placing deep respect for materials and close collaboration at the forefront. Joncas draws upon influences such as New Wave aesthetics and 1980s sci-fi cinema to inform his vision of lighting as an emotional and experiential force.
