Key Features
Crafted from mouthblown glass, the Tubes 15 Light Flushmount from Vistosi is a feast for the eyes, using asymmetry and height to create a sculptural display. Designed by Matthias Hickl, this art meets lighting piece shows the creator’s multi-disciplinary background as a practicing designer, photographer, and painter. Hickl maps out his light-filled cityscape along an asymmetric grid of elegant metal canopies. The dynamism of the grid helps produce a different silhouette when leaving and entering a room. The height of the glass shades enhances these sculptural properties as pieces of ultra-clean geometry. Each shade is mouthblown for a great light diffusing and enhancing visual. When turned on, rousing highlights cover the ceiling, and a grand glow fills up the room.
One of Italy’s most prestigious and prolific names in Murano glassmaking, Vistosi specializes in hand-blown glass lighting fixtures with an expertise that can be traced to the 1500s. Officially incorporated as Vetreria Vistosi in 1989 with the Moretti family, Vistosi continues to invest in new technologies and methods of production compatible with the historical craft, resulting in an extensive collection of highly decorative yet durable lighting designs.
