Creators Sam Hecht and Kim Colin of Industrial Facility approach each design with the thought of creating beauty out of utility. Here, a trim set of legs and a rectilinear top prove minimalist to satisfy with various home styles. The utility also comes through in the weather-resistant Accoya wood top and sunbrella fabric cushions. These low-sitting, comfy cushions can be sequenced for a traditional daybed or removed to create a part table, part sitting composition.
First lets make things that last. Thats been the Emeco motto ever since their first aluminum Navy Chair came off the assembly line in 1944. Based in Hanover, Pennsylvania, Emeco is focused on making recycling passe by making furniture that will last forever and never go out of style. Collaborations with designers like Philippe Starck, Frank Gehry, Ettore Sottsass and Norman Foster have contributed greatly to that vision.
