Inspired by the conversations started by public furniture, the Run Kvadrat Daybed from Emeco brings seating and lounging with a communal environment in mind. Sam Hecht and Kim Colin of studio Industrial Facility seek to reveal the beauty that comes from utility. The daybed offers visual utility through the clean silhouette of its angular legs and top. The sustainably harvested wood top lays a familiar foundation of organic hues and texture. While allowing one to lay out, removable cushions provide seats for a small group. These cushions help keep conversations going with their low-profile comfort.

Emeco

Electrical Machine and Equipment Company (Emeco) was founded in 1944 by Wilton Carlyle Dinges in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Dinges' first assignment came from no other than the U.S. government, to manufacture a strong yet lightweight chair that could withstand water, salt air and rowdy sailors. The result was the iconic Emeco Navy Chair, made enitrely out of durable machined aluminum.
