The Driade Pip-e Armchair Set of 4 is molded out of polypropylene with thick horizontal slats that are actually as comfortable as they are visually appealing. They are curved just so to cradle the body, and have openings that keep things feeling cool and airy (and keep any rainwater from pooling). These superbly slatted and stackable armchairs were designed in 2006 by Philippe Starck.
Founded in 1968, Driade continues to bring the seemingly paradoxical blend of playfulness and rationality of that time to current Italian furniture designs. Seating, tables and home furnishings designs from the likes of Philippe Starck, Alessandro Mendini and Ludovia & Roberto Palomba bend the rules in the best possible way; they are sculptural and unexpected, yet always of the highest quality and comfort.
