The Outdoor Twist Side Table by Lyon Beton was designed by Alexandre Dubreuil, who set out to reimagine the basic function of trays and drawers. Anchored by a raw concrete base, a perforated metal tray is perched on a simple stem, offering plenty of space for a variety of items and can easily rotate to bring things close when necessary, but a gentle nudge will move them out of the way too. The pivoting mechanism is built to last, designed to move smoothly and silently even when it is full to keep the balance in a room. Two height options allow this table to complement a range of locations, making it easy to twist it over the arm of a chair or even a bathtub.
Inspired by modernist movements and post-modern material manufacturing techniques, Lyon Béton creates elegant and functional furniture and furnishings from an unusual medium—concrete. Each piece is handcrafted and expertly finished to preserve the natural quirks of the material, elevating the designs with warmth, function and individuality.
