The La Vie Ceiling/Wall Light is a decorative lighting fixture inspired by the Flower of Life, meant to represent of all the materials in the universe, and available in 5 vibrant tones. The shade of this modern light is made from Slamp's patented material Opalflex®. When illuminated, the La Vie provides diffused, ambient lighting ideal for use in hallways, bedrooms, and dining and living room spaces. About Opalflex®: Patented and recyclable, this innovative material is an original mixture of technopolymers and glass crystals. This exclusive polycarbonate material for SLAMP is luminous and attractive like glass while being versatile and resistant like plastic. Color is added through silk-screen printing.
First conceived in 1994 by Italian designer Roberto Ziliani, Slamp lighting has garnered world recognition as being at the top of a very short list of innovative and envelope-pushing lighting companies. Their range of products made of cutting-edge polymer plastics are cold-formed to avoid CO2 emissions, while excess scraps are recycled into beehives. Slamp, with their resounding mantra, "From Italy to Eternity," sets the stage for their newest and most avant-garde collections yet.
