Globe Modern Kitchen Mini Pendant Ceiling Lights

Why We Love Kitchen Mini Pendants

In the contemporary kitchen, mini pendant lights add the perfect amount of downlighting over kitchen islands, kitchen sinks, over the kitchen table or over a bar table (depending on the size and layout of your kitchen). They may be smaller than the decorative pendant lighting and chandeliers you are used to, but mini pendant lights can still provide a lot of lighting and stylish impact in the kitchen.

Where a chandelier has its place in the formal dining room, the kitchen should have lighting from sources that are more functional than decorative, and mini hanging lights are the ideal choice. Unlike a typical pendant or chandelier, these small pendant lights occupy much less space and can be strung together for an eye-catching lighting decoration. Full of color and full of personality, these pendants bring a delightful persona to the kitchen you'll notice each and every time you enter the room. And in the kitchen, a set of mini pendants usually find their home over the island where they can offer a wide spread amount of light. They are also a good choice for breakfast nooks and you may even consider hanging one over the kitchen sink.

Kitchen Mini Pendant Lights for Every Style

Although small in nature, mini pendants have a lot to offer in the kitchen and can easily find themselves in a variety of kitchen styles ranging from modern to traditional and transitional. In large kitchens where an island is present, you'll like establishing a lighting scheme by arranging multiple mini pendant lights from LBL Lighting. Decorative glass mini pendants over the kitchen island add style to your space and look phenomenal when paired with other light sources like sconces or recessed lighting. If you love the look of a glassblown shade, look no further than Besa Lighting. Finally, for a large assortment of pendants that fit in almost any application, take a look at the collection by Tech Lighting. Many of the mini pendants in Tech's offering are also energy efficient too, making use of LED technology.

How to Choose the Best Kitchen Mini Pendants

Choosing a set of mini pendants for your kitchen requires careful measuring of the space where you plan to install the fixtures. If you install them over your kitchen island, you'll need to take appropriate measurements to know exactly how much room you have to work with. Begin by identifying how far apart each pendant's canopy will be placed and then take note of the fixture's hanging length, width and weight. While some pendants are hung from a single canopy, you will find options that can be installed to a multi-point canopy and those that use a monorail system. Find the mini pendant's lumen output to gauge how bright it will be and lastly, check its bulb requirement to be prepared with the right light bulbs.
