The Uttermost Story
The Uttermost venture started in 1975 when Bob and Belle Cooper opened shop in Rocky Mountain, Virginia, largely as a manufacturer of mirrors. Still family owned, Uttermost has expanded to include many more lighting fixtures in their line and has a branch in Riverside, California as well as a strong working relationship with their employees in Guanxi, China.
In just over 30 years, the Uttermost building has expanded from 12,500 to 585,855 square feet to accommodate for a growing demand in their time-honored designs.
Why We Love Uttermost Lighting & Mirrors
Uttermost makes business personal. They work with a small number of designers, producing decorator lighting and mirrors that speak to the close-knit business community they foster. Uttermost mirrors and lighting have complex, layered finishes, mimicking old world designs found in Venetian manors, and they strive to keep their prices reasonable in order to reach a greater population of design-savvy customers.
A Fun Fact About Uttermost
The name, "Uttermost", comes from a Bible verse that speaks of "taking the gospel to the uttermost part of the earth," reflecting both their personal beliefs and their marketing goals.
