The Hinkley Story
Founded in Cleveland, OH, in 1922 by Phil R. Hinkley, Hinkley Lighting began with a modest catalog of 14 pieces, primarily featuring solid copper outdoor fixtures. These early Hinkley lights set the stage for the company's focus on high-quality, durable lighting solutions. In 1937, the company was acquired by Stanley Weidemer, and it has remained a family-owned business ever since. Over the years, Hinkley expanded its offerings, including the introduction of the Hinkley Landscape Lighting line in 1987 and the acquisition of luxury lighting brand Fredrick Ramond in 2007. This expansion allowed Hinkley to diversify its product range, adding elements like the elegant Hinkley chandelier and a variety of indoor and outdoor lighting solutions.
