Hinkley Lighting, Outdoor & Indoor Light Fixtures
The Hinkley Story
Founded in Cleveland, OH, in 1922 by Phil R. Hinkley, the company launched with a catalog of 14 pieces, primarily focusing on their specialty: solid copper Hinkley lights, most of which were designed for outdoor use. In 1937, Stanley Weidemer purchased the company, and it has remained in the Weidemer family to this day.
Today, Hinkley specializes in transitional lighting with distinctive period accents, as well as minimalist contemporary Hinkley outdoor lighting fixtures, some of which are part of the Hinkley Landscape Lighting line established in 1987. The acquisition of Fredrick Ramond in 2007 allowed Hinkley Lighting to introduce a layer of luxury home lighting, including the Hinkley chandelier, to their repertoire. Lark, a Hinkley brand, offers products perfect for farmhouse and transitional décor.
