The Catkin Pendant by hollis+morris gives off a cozy vibe perfect for lighting up your room from above, both in terms of the light provides and the light, fun vibe it possesses. Its simple shades are made of Glass and crafted into sphere shapes, glowing warmly, ambiently and without glare through their Off White finished surfaces. The frames atop the shades are made of Wood and crafted into cylindrical shapes with a round top, adding whimsy and lightness to this understated piece.
With designs inspired from the land around hollis+morris in Toronto, Canada, they were founded by Mischa Couvrette, who chose to name the company based on an intersection in Halifax. Hollis+Morris provides a variety of furniture and lighting pieces handcrafted out of solid wood and a variety of metals. Each piece is named after local neighborhoods in Toronto, making each piece feel more personalized and cozy.
