Key Features
With a softly rounded top and simple legs, the Za Low Stool by Emeco is a design from Naoto Fukasaws, who wanted to give people a multi-functional, long-lasting piece. Za means “a place to sit” in Japanese, and this practical piece offers spaces just that. Handcrafted from recycled aluminum and guaranteed for life and all it has to offer – this design is a lightweight, super-strong addition to spaces that cleans easily while keeping the environment in mind. Recycled aluminum saves 95% of the energy that would be required to make this material new and is endlessly recyclable, making this stool just one stop in this metal’s journey.
First lets make things that last. Thats been the Emeco motto ever since their first aluminum Navy Chair came off the assembly line in 1944. Based in Hanover, Pennsylvania, Emeco is focused on making recycling passe by making furniture that will last forever and never go out of style. Collaborations with designers like Philippe Starck, Frank Gehry, Ettore Sottsass and Norman Foster have contributed greatly to that vision.
