Vornado

A portmanteau of “vortex” and “tornado,” Vornado got its start in the 1940s when aeronautics engineer Ralph Odor teamed up with O.A. Sutton, an aircraft parts fabricator, to create a fan based on Odor’s patented Power Vortex. The same groundbreaking aerodynamic engineering that went into the plane created a swirling air stream that circulated air more efficiently than floor fan designs on the market at the time, and a modern classic was born. Today, Vornado fans are designed in Kansas to the highest standards of efficiency.
