Key Features
X marks the spot of what will now be most fabulous room in your space with the Michael McHale Designs Tribeca X-Shaped Chandelier. Echoing a vintage marquee light salvaged from a deposed Hollywood theater, the fixture crosses two long and linear rows of upcycled Gunmetal Grey steel pipe. McHale magnifies the industrial vibe by fitting the joints with appliance bulbs (genius!) before bedecking the pipes with extravagant amounts of fully-leaded crystal.
An inventive juxtaposition of the utilitarian and the exquisite, Michael McHale Designs displays an aesthetic sensibility that undercuts tidy categorization. Repurposed steel pipes are ruggedly raw; high-quality, fully-leaded crystals confer luxuriousness; the regular use of flame-tipped candelabra bulbs play off a traditional archetype long associated with elaborate chandeliers. The disparate material mediums stylistically balance the high and the low, successfully coalescing into a unique amalgamation that McHale understandably references as "industrial chic."
