Lumens

The amount of light that comes from a bulb, which has commonly been measured in watts. The more lumens, the brighter the bulb.

Wattage

A measurement of the power delivered to a component of an electric circuit (allowing a one-ampere current to flow through the component under the pressure of 1 volt.)

Bulb Shape

Bulb shapes are denoted with a letter, which describes the shape, and a number, which indicates the size. The number indicates the diameter of the light bulb at its widest part in eighths of an inch.

Base

The part of the bulb that connects to the fixture and its power supply. Bulb bases are denoted with the letter E, and a number which indicates the diameter of the bulb base at its widest part in millimeters.

Voltage

Indicates how much voltage a bulb can accept via the fixture it's installed in.

Light Color Temperature

The relative color from a light source, measured on the Kelvin temperature scale. Warm light is lower in color temperature (2700-3000 K) and cool, blue light is higher (5000 K).

Average Rated Life

The average amount time that a bulb is expected to last.

CRI

CRI = color rendering index. This number, which can go from 0 to 100, measures the ability of a light or bulb accurately renders colors. The higher the number, the better, with most quality bulbs these days measuring at least in the 80s.

Combined KEM-12 chandelier and chromed glass Sky Fall LED pendants at slightly lower elevation within the foyer 'well'. You can see the criss-cross frame of the chandelier from this vantage. Chromed glass on the lower pendants accentuates the criss-cross frame of the 'chandelier'

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful but issues with installation It's a truly beautiful light but we ran into a couple of issues with installation: - screw for the top portion is the light was too short - dimmer instructions were incomplete The manufacturer was responsive and helpful when we contacted them, but at this price point I would expect not to have these issues... especially the problem with the screw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Looking Lights in the House We just purchased and had installed a pair of these skyfall pendants. We hung them over a long rectangular wooden table in our eat in kitchen and they look fantastic. Definitely a conversation piece. We ordered the chrome finish as we have stainless steel appliances and the colors match nicely. When the lights are lit though, especially at night, the glass becomes semi-translucent and takes on a very different, very appealing look. The lights aren't too bright (10 W each) so don't expect them to light up a room on its own. By far the most we've ever paid for lights, but considering that it's mouth blown glass from Italy, I'm happy to pay for the design and quality. Just one note: it did take our contractor a while to figure out how the light is assembled. There are a lot of small pieces that must fit together just right. I would say he spent an hour just looking at the paperwork to fit everything together, so definitely get someone experienced to put this up for you.

You can tell they are italian! We didn't install them yet as our house is still under construction but I purchased since they were on promotion for a short time. I can't wait to look at them every day over our kitchen island.
