- The TruDrop self-watering system was devised to take the guesswork out of when and how much you should water, and thereby reduce total water usage by up to 50%. Crescent Garden planters with the TruDrop system include a water fill hole, water level indicator, irrigation chamber, double wall construction, overfill drain, indoor plug and mess-free drain. If the planter is used outside in colder climates, the water cavity should be emptied to prevent freezing and cracking.
