What began as acclaimed designer Konstantin Grcic’s idea for a lit stone monolith column, evolved into the unique modular Noctambule S5 Low Cylinder LED Pendant Light from FLOS that celebrates play. Individually blown crystal glass cylinders are ordered into a column, disappearing into walls in darker spaces. Its uniform construction is accented by dark aluminum ring connectors and steel lateral arms. Ringed diffusers and LEDs give the piece layered lighting that highlights its reflective forms and provides warm ambient light. It is a piece sure to leave one marveling when suspended above a tall-ceilinged entryway.
FLOS was first established in 1962 in Merano, Italy, to produce high quality modern lighting. This Italian lighting company continues to do so to this day by collaborating with talented international designers and researching the latest lighting technologies and materials. Resulting FLOS lighting fixtures are daring and provocative, yet uphold the fundamental principles of good design.
