Arco Floor Lamp

The Arcos is one of the simple design furniture pieces that has the ability to cause great inspired curiosity. It's a work of engineering and balance on display with simple design elements. One of my all time favorite pieces and so proud to finally own it. This and my HM lounge will always have a place in my den when we change locations!

Debating whether or not to purchase the Arco, I took the chance and am beyond pleased with my decision to say yes, plus I took advantage of the 12 months same as cash. This lamp is spectacular and I chose the classic incandescent version enabling the light to dance on the ceiling when lit. Stunning! Thank you Lumens for offering the perfect piece at the perfect price!

It's on the costlier side, but it's a classic: solid carrara marble, lights up the whole room (while casting a pretty pattern on the ceiling by way of the cutout lampshade. An heirloom, albeit a heavy one!

This is a very cool classic floor lamp.it looks like a piece of art but also creates a warm light in the room.very very happy with the lamp.

The Flos Arco floor lamp is arguably the most famous icon of modern design since 1962. To this day, it continues as a placeholder in popular films, art galleries and fashion magazines worldwide. This seemingly diminutive fixture will command attention without over-powering a contemporary decor. It is subtle, yet bold and will never go out of style. Frankly, no photo of this lamp can fully do it justice. The construction is brilliantly simple and strong, consisting of stainless steel, aluminum alloy, and exquisite Italian marble. It arrives well packaged by FLOS and is partially assembled with only one screw that requires your attention. Those who may have an eight-foot ceiling should accurately measure your space before ordering. In my case I had to deviate from the instruction guide by connecting the arc prior to attachment to the base. The combined weight of the sections (without the globe) was enough to gently and naturally flex the arc downward in order to obtain the ceiling clearance. I then safely attached the globe assembly (with a helper) and it was done. The base is very heavy and provides good stability on a flat hard surface. The ingenious design of the lamp facilitates adjustment of the height and position of the globe. This allows placement over a dining table whereby the globe maybe positioned lower, and the reach from the marble base is generous enough for anyone to walk under the arc without interference. Conversely, if the lamp is placed in an open area, the globe can be adjusted to be higher from the floor. This shortens the distance from the marble base to the globe which presents an alternate styling. Also, the two-part floating design of the globe allows for angular adjustment of the light for fashion or function. A simple touch with your hand is all that is needed. In summary, the Flos Arco design is one of simplicity, form and function with a near industrial quality. From Milan to New York the artistic design by Achille Castiglioni is an indelible testament to the history of modern art. Review by: Daniel ~
