Nendo
Nendo is a Japanese design studio founded by Oki Sato in 2002 after he graduated from Waseda University in Tokyo with a master's degree in architecture. Known for a minimalist yet playful approach with influences from Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics, Nendo has made significant contributions to architecture, interior design, product design and graphic design. Nendo collaborates with several renowned brands including Louis Poulsen, FLOS and Lasvit for lighting design and Emeco for furniture designs. Nendo is also the recipient of several awards, including the Elle Deco International Design Award for Designer of the Year in 2012 and the Red Dot Design Award in 2014. Nendo has collections in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Musee de Arts decoratifs in Paris and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
