Crackled with skilled precision, the Artemide Meteorite with Stem Table Lamp features a blown glass diffuser made with a rigorous production process. The glass is molded, frosted, sandblasted and then acid-etched, giving the shade an uneven texture made most apparent when lit. Once lit, the craters are revealed along with lines of shadow that break up the uniformity of the ambient light.
Since 1959, Artemide has created a wide array of modern table lamps, floor lamps, wall sconces and suspensions. Technologically advanced, and with styles ranging from clean and refined to sculptural and avant garde, many Artemide designs--especially the Tolomeo and Tizio--have become icons of contemporary lighting design.
