A unique addition ideal for walls and hallway use, the organic lines of the Hold Wall Sconce from SkLO offer a warm accompaniment to midnight expeditions or early morning risings. Anchored securely by a metal hook and wall plate, its structure reflects origins in craft art, glassworking, and architectural design, while each fixture stands out as an individual creation. A hand-blown envelope of Czech glass hangs suspended from the hook as though left molten, while a small, corded, lamp arcs down into the opening to gentle any direct glare into pleasant ambiance.
SkLO is a collaborative design company founded by Pavel Hanousek, Karen Gilbert, and Paul Pavlak. Based out of Healdsburg, CA, the design team collaborates with master glassmakers in the Czech Republic. SkLO glass is built to order, artisans skillfully hand-blow glass for each of the lighting fixtures and objects in the collection. As such each piece is unique, and slight variation is welcome, emphasizing the beauty of the handmade process with every design.
