Key Features
Handcrafted in the heart of England, the Original BTC lighting Fin Pendant is a textural shade of fine bone china, resembling a budding flower about to bloom. The porcelain shade has a translucent and warm quality when lit, achieved through a meticulous casting and firing process in the Stoke-on-Trent ceramic workshops. As light glows through the porcelain, vertical ridges cut sinuous lines of shadow around the shade, creating soothing illumination in addition to the functional spot of light below.
Founded in 1990 by Peter Bowles, Original BTC is a lighting company rooted in national pride, manufacturing classic and industrial British design for contemporary homes. Encouraging local enterprise, all products are exclusively produced in the UK, utilizing factories in Oxford, Birmingham and Stoke-on-Trent to hand-produce and assemble the fine bone china, aluminum and lighting components used in Original BTC fixtures. In 2010, Bowles acquired Davey Lighting (a heritage brand founded in 1885 as a maritime lighting supplier) enriching the brand with industrial-grade designs and traditional craftsmanship.
