The De Majo Story
De Majo Illuminazione started after WWII in 1947 when Guido de Majo left his native Naples and moved to the Lagoon (Murano, Italy) to found his first glassworks. Now a famous contemporary European lighting company, De Majo Lighting first became popular with the design boom in the 1970s when Guido capitalized on producing a standardized lighting line and expanded his market considerably.

De Majo Lighting is best known for their colorful fixtures that offer a certain presence and personality to the modern space. Their fixtures are sculptures of light, the line a fascinating presentation of modern simplicity and reserve balanced with confident flair. All the pieces are signed and come with a certificate of authenticity, and the glass shades are made by hand according to Murano glass tradition.
