The Bombe Tea Pot was first introduced in 1945 as part of a full tea service crafted from chrome-plated and silver-plated heavy brass. Transformed with modern stainless steel, Bombe is now offered with a choice between black bakelite or applewood handles and knobs. The Tea Pot features dramatically curved handle and a round knob for the lid. Very much a product of the postwar sociocultural climate, Bombe reflects the design and customs that are associated with the first age of Italian design. Calling to mind the curves of the Vespa and the Isetta Bubble Car, the rounded shapes and clean lines give the Bombe Oval Tray a hint of pop art combined with classic Italian design.
