The Twist Pendant by Carpyen gives off the crumpled quality of a cupcake wrapper while featuring all the solidity and stability of modern construction. Its Lacquered Aluminum Sheet Metal frame is crafted in such a way that it appears to have the light touch of Pleated Fabric. The distinctive spacing of the pleating lets light shine through its sides, and its bottom facing Acrylic diffuser dampens the light with warmth and ease.
Carpyen started in Spain in 1954 as a family enterprise and continues the intimate feel of their designs in their contemporary lighting pieces. Designers Antonio Carpintero, Encamacian and Roberto Capintero head the company as industrial talents and Pascual Salvador and Gabriel Teixido, among others, contribute to creating clean, modern lighting with a European edge.
