Looking like a cloud that just lost a knife-fight, the Artemide Pirce LED Suspension is crafted from a single slim sheet of aluminum, the concentric cutaways facilitating a descending disarray of White metal spirals. A powerful light source is discreetly tucked away in the shallow bottom bowl, strongly reflecting illumination back up through the fixture to create a nuanced mix of light and shadow.
Since 1959, Artemide has created a wide array of modern table lamps, floor lamps, wall sconces and suspensions. Technologically advanced, and with styles ranging from clean and refined to sculptural and avant garde, many Artemide designs--especially the Tolomeo and Tizio--have become icons of contemporary lighting design.
