The Mod MD11 Multi-Light Pendant from Shakuff brings a lively energy to a space in a cascading design of handblown and intricately decorated glass orbs. The refractive quality of glass and radiant quality of the sphere combine here to satisfy Shakuff's goal of showcasing the natural beauty of light. The piece pulls inspiration from the lovely sphere diffusers of mid-century modern design. These spheres appear to float in the air thanks to the ultra-fine suspension of adjustable wires. Master glass artists hand blow each sphere, then touch them up with perforations to create a dressy mesh pattern. The pattern creates a graphic silhouette while helping to mellow the light into a seductive aura.

Established in 2007 by Joseph Sidof, Shakúff lighting creates modern handblown light pieces inspired by classic Italian glasswork. Composed of skilled artisans and glassblowers, the brand brings imaginative designs to life for commercial and residential spaces alike.

Lumens

The amount of light that comes from a bulb, which has commonly been measured in watts. The more lumens, the brighter the bulb.

Wattage

A measurement of the power delivered to a component of an electric circuit (allowing a one-ampere current to flow through the component under the pressure of 1 volt.)
