The Maxim Lighting Story
Back in 1965, Jacob Sperling came to Los Angeles to study aeronautical engineering. Inspired by a job working for a lighting retailer, he turned his mechanical skills to the manufacture of lighting fixtures, building them in his garage and selling them out of his station wagon. In 1970, he brought brother Zvi on to help, and Maxim Lighting was born.

Why We Love Maxim Lighting
Maxim Lighting is especially focused on building relationships with their clientele. In fact, they credit their steady growth on building such relationships and listening closely to what their customers want. That's why, in addition to meeting the demand for contemporary lighting with ET2 Lighting, they developed the Builder's Program in 2003 to closely collaborate with contractors. They have also maintained very competitive price points, embraced energy-efficient technologies and have developed durable materials, making their indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures built to last.
A Fun Fact About Maxim Lighting
Exclusive to Maxim Lighting, Vivex was devised as an alternative to the polyurethane resin used in traditional outdoor lighting. It is twice as strong, withstands temperatures ranging from -20 to 130 degrees F, is non-corrosive and UV-resistant. Best of all, the injection molding process used to make it allows for infinite design creativity. Maxim pendants and chandeliers, as well as the company's wall lighting, span a variety of decorative styles. You'll find everything from classic, tiered chandeliers to pendant lighting featuring the latest in LED technology. For any home, Maxim light fixtures are a preferred choice.
Noteworthy Lighting from Maxim Lighting
The Dover VX outdoor lighting collection features clean Early American style coupled with Maxim's super-durable Vivex material. For the contemporary stylist, the Mosaic Outdoor Sconces maximize aesthetic charisma with powder-coated aluminum over abstract blocks of brushed aluminum metal for fashionable illumination. And finally, make a noticeably luxurious statement in the entryway or foyer with the crystal-laced Eternity LED Chandelier.
