Studio Iskos-Berlin focuses on the transformation of objects with a focus on technology. Here, the studio focuses on the sustainable and flexible properties of yarn. Yarn is intricately fashioned into a radiating pattern that’s generous in texture. This yarn is engineered with transparency to help diffuse the light. Fine, flexible rods expand this yarn into a globe shade, creating curvy contours evocative of a Chinese lantern’s bamboo framework. Once on, a single lamp mellows its cozy light through, leaving behind a memorable silhouette.
