Stamped with the signature of Alvarez, each shade is handmade, using and reinterpreting a technique that solders copper-foil together with the glass. This method produces variegated watermarks that create different shades of brightness. The deep drum shade filters the light through like a backlit stained glass window, highlighting the dark lines between the slender panes and expressing a timeless harmony.
