With a simple silhouette and an exaggerated size, the Amax Pendant by FontanaArte makes a bold focal point within any interior décor. Designed by Charles Williams in 2003, this fixture takes a classic tapered design and reinterprets it on a large scale to offer drama and elegance to a space. A chromed metal frame is surrounded by a polyethylene diffuser to soften any glare from its incandescent lamping inside. Dropped from a conical canopy and steel suspension cable, this fixture dominates a room while creating a pleasant and welcoming glow.
Renowned Italian architect, designer and painter Gio Ponti founded FontanaArte in 1932 as the artistic division of glassmaker Luigi Fontana. Ponti used Fontana glass to design lighting filled with his own visionary brand of sensuous, poetic modernism. Today, more than 75 years later, the innovative artists at FontanaArte continue Pontis legacy, creating expressive and transformative modern lighting designs.
