A study on the timeless ring shape. The Ecos 60C Pendant from Vistosi imagines the ring as a ravishing light diffuser and a basis for its rolling silhouette. Renato Toso, N. Massari and Associates is a design studio looking to put an invigorating contemporary look on traditionally crafted glass. The design studio approaches the pendant with the idea of simple but several. Glass rings are handcrafted and set themselves apart with a fashionable striated surface. These rings pack closely together to create a display of rich texture that hides the hardware. The light catches onto the textured surface of the rings as crisp highlights and exits as a spacious aura in the room.
One of Italy’s most prestigious and prolific names in Murano glassmaking, Vistosi specializes in hand-blown glass lighting fixtures with an expertise that can be traced to the 1500s. Officially incorporated as Vetreria Vistosi in 1989 with the Moretti family, Vistosi continues to invest in new technologies and methods of production compatible with the historical craft, resulting in an extensive collection of highly decorative yet durable lighting designs.
