This is the third Vornado vintage air circulator we have purchased. We have an older home with radiant hot water heating and thus no duct work for central air conditioning. The 1924 home is made of stone so it remains cool for the most part. On a particularly warm day/evening the Vornado air circulator keeps the home nicely cooled. We have one in each of the bedrooms in our home. It's quiet and keeps the rooms cool and comfortable. The retro design looks great in our Arts & Crafts home.

Our original Vornado (early 1950's) retired itself this summer (2023). Possible bearing issue. This new one, a classic Vornado, is nice looking, quiet and powerful. Still may look into repairing our original one but this one is doing the job.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Wanted to try a Retro Vornado fan since I am a Antique fan collector and have older Vornados from the 50's 60's 70's & 80's Let me tell ya that this new Vornado Sr Vintage fan is right up there with the older vintage Vornados from the past.Love that the fan moves air quietly from a gentle breeze to a good breeze across a room that's not annoying or noisy !! I use the new Vornado Sr in my living room moving the A/C thru the house.Great new fans Recommend!!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Vornado

Vornado's origins trace back to the 1940s, born from the innovative minds of aeronautics engineer Ralph Odor and aircraft parts fabricator O.A. Sutton. The duo embarked on a journey to revolutionize the fan industry, leveraging Odor’s patented Power Vortex technology. This collaboration combined advanced aerodynamic engineering, similar to that used in aircraft design, to develop a fan that created a swirling airstream. This innovation significantly enhanced air circulation efficiency compared to the floor fan designs available at the time, marking the birth of a modern classic in the fan industry.
