Barovier & Toso

The Barovier & Toso Story

Barovier & Toso is one of the world’s oldest family businesses. Founded in 1295 as Barovier in Murano, Italy, the company grew to prominence in the 1400s with the work of Angelo Barovier, whose glass objects can be seen in museums today. Renamed Barovier & Toso in 1942, the company forges Venetian mouth blown crystal with master artisans using the same age-old tradition passed down over generations. This technique has allowed for unique and sustainable designs different from any other crystal on the market.

Key Features

Dimmable

The Taif Chandelier from Barovier & Toso is a harmonious meeting point of tradition and creativity, created originally for the home of the Saudi King in the city it shares its name with. In business for over seven centuries, Barovier & Toso set out in this piece to reimagine the traditional Murano chandelier while celebrating Venetian glassmaking. This chandelier gives off a time-tested appearance in its fountain-like composition of arms. These metal arms are covered in mouth-blown glass containers defined by a sequence of diverse shapes. Curling glass accents add a whimsical charm over the top, while hanging accents bring palatial-style beauty. Colorful highlights wash over the artisanal glass as the piece’s candle-style lamping creates a rousing glow.
