Grey Scandinavian Modern Sofas

Why We Love Modern Sofas & Couches

Modern sofas are a foundation piece of most living areas and often become the focal point of the room. The right couch combines characteristics of eye-catching design with comfortable, upholstered seating that you'll enjoy sitting (or sleeping) on anytime. Sofas are necessary for entertaining too by keeping your home's guests seated and comfortable. Indoors or out on the patio, you'll love adding a new contemporary sofa to your furniture mix.

Where Modern Sofas Work Best

Anywhere you place a couch is guaranteed to benefit from exceptional style and additional seating. Typically found in the living room, contemporary sofas stand out for their inviting and comforting presence, while also being the primary furniture piece in the space. Large entryways also benefit from a sofa where it can immediately declare your aesthetic and offer guests a place to sit the second they walk in the front door. And home offices or the office away from home also enjoys the presence of a sofa. A good looking couch rounds out the office's decor and gives your business visitors a great place to sit. Lastly, consider a sofa for the deck, porch, patio or covered gazebo. Outdoor lounge sofas give you a place to relax long after the barbecue is over.

Choosing the Best Sofa

Finding the right sofa relies on your personal preferences, the sizes of furniture your home can accommodate and the fabric patterns/colors that work best in your rooms. Begin your search by identifying what your aesthetic is - contemporary, modern, retro, rustic, etc. Once you know your style, measure the space where you plan to position a new couch to choose the best size. Be mindful of dimensions like width, length and height. Materials will determine how comfortable the couch is and you can order color swatches to be certain a sofa's color and pattern will fit in your space.
