On permanent display at several world-renown museums including the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the MoMA in New York, the Pipistrello (meaning “bat” in Italian) brings a unique and timelessly beautiful, segmented methacrylate shade that resembles the wings of a bat. Elegant and versatile, the telescopic stem body of this piece extends, changing the function of the lamp from a table piece to a low floor fixture. Updated with a modern, energy-efficient LED bulb, the shade plays with the light, creating a diffused glow upward and a bright, direct glow downward.
