The Multiplo XL Outdoor Table from Kartell offers a strong, stately presence tough enough for outdoor areas but with sufficient refinement for indoor spaces. This Antonio Citterio design is made in Italy and rises from two two-legged bases that angle inward towards parallel columns. Each column ends in a flaring metal platform that supports a round-edged top of material with natural variation. The table’s round corners play well with the swooping metalwork beneath, creating a cohesive character.

Kartell

Based in Milan, Italy, Kartell was founded in 1949 by chemical engineer Giulio Castelli and his wife, architect Anna Castelli. Originally a producer of car accessories, it was Kartell's experimentation in plastics for the home that made them famous. Stylish home accessories and lighting dominated the 1950s, with the first injection-molded furniture emerging in the 1960s. Since then, the Kartell modern furniture line has only continued to grow, including contemporary chairs, tables, sofas and more--all made out of durable, lightweight and surprisingly comfortable plastic.
