Clear Scandinavian Modern Kitchen Flush Mount Lighting

Why We Love Flushmounts in the Kitchen

Flush mount lighting is a great option when your kitchen does not have a lot of ceiling to floor space or when you prefer a ceiling light that does not take up a lot of ceiling real estate. The modern flush mount lighting in this assortment is ideal for kitchen nooks, over the kitchen table or over the kitchen sink when space is available. Whatever your design style may be, you'll find the perfect flush ceiling light here.

A flush ceiling light for the kitchen is often thought of as a purely functional source of light, however, it can also provide a lot of decorative impact. What these flushmounts lack in size they make up in character and personality. Unlike chandeliers and pendants, flushmounts install parallel to the ceiling and do not require a lot of space, yet they still provide plenty of downlight. These flush fixtures also pair well with lighting already in the room from wall sconces, undercabinet lights and natural light source.

A Kitchen Flushmount for Every style

The simplistic nature of a flushmount allows it to fit in with almost any kitchen style. Whether your kitchen is profoundly modern or sits on the traditional side of decorating, you'll love adding a flushmount into the room. For a mid-century themed design, look to the Parker Flushmount from interior designer Jonathan Adler. Similar to most of Adler's collection, the Parker design is inspired by 1950s style and adds noticeable character to any room it is placed in. Tech Lighting's selection of flushmounts offer a contemporary solution for any kitchen and check out Visual Comfort for a transitional fixture. And finally, if you love the benefits of LED in your choice of lighting, look to the flushmounts from Modern Forms.

How to Choose the Best Kitchen Flushmounts

Although flushmounts are easy to place in kitchens, you'll need to choose a fixture that best fits your kitchen's specific layout. Before you choose a new flush ceiling light, you'll need to measure where you plan to install it in your kitchen. Remember important size dimensions like height, width or its diameter to choose the best light for your area. With a size in mind, you can then choose the flushmount that is best suited to work with other elements of decor in your kitchen. Look for congruent colors, finishes and important design features to make the most appropriate selection. And review the light's lumen output to know just how bright it will be. Other Considerations

Similar in low profile nature as the flushmounts found here are semi-flushmounts. Semi-flush ceiling lights don't mount perfectly parallel with the ceiling; instead, they have a slight extension that gives them a decorative look. Or, consider recessed lighting for a style of light that mounts inside of the ceiling and still gives off plenty of light. Lastly, if you love the appearance of these flush light fixtures, you may enjoy spreading them throughout the rest of the home. In addition to the kitchen, flushmounts can be an excellent choice for bedrooms, living rooms and hallways.
