The Alps Table Lamp from Jamie Young Co. narrows from a wide foot to a slender neck, giving its conical base clean, sculptural lines. Artisans craft it from solid steel and finish the surface with a hand-rubbed technique, which brings out a soft, cloudy movement across the metal. A drum shade with a rolled edge balances the tapered form, and a cone-shaped finial repeats that angle at the top, a small detail that ties the design together.

Jamie Young Co.

In 1997, Jamie Young Jeter and her husband David Jeter took a day trip to Mexico and returned with a car full of flower pots. After selling the lot to a local florist, they realized the market for unique garden pots was wide open and began to produce them. As they tinkered with designs, they realized the pots would make interesting lamp bases, and the Jamie Young Company was born.
