The Monroe Table Lamp from Jamie Young Co. draws on midcentury forms, with a low, wide body that swells before tucking in at the base and shoulder. Crafted from ceramic, it is hand-glazed with a reactive technique, and the drips and shading running down its sides are spontaneous results of the firing process. Light catches on the glossy surface and follows those curves, while a cone shade with a rolled edge completes a refined, balanced profile.

Jamie Young Co.

In 1997, Jamie Young Jeter and her husband David Jeter took a day trip to Mexico and returned with a car full of flower pots. After selling the lot to a local florist, they realized the market for unique garden pots was wide open and began to produce them. As they tinkered with designs, they realized the pots would make interesting lamp bases, and the Jamie Young Company was born.
