The Tether Bar/Counter Stool from Jamie Young Co. takes mid-century inspiration and gives it a modern twist. Its curved arms and legs are crafted from solid oak and finished by hand, while a woven paper cord accent on the back keeps the look sleek from every angle. The thick seat and back are padded with high-resilience foam and covered in a soft performance fabric that resists stains and fading. A metal kickplate protects the footrest from everyday wear.

Jamie Young Co.

In 1997, Jamie Young Jeter and her husband David Jeter took a day trip to Mexico and returned with a car full of flower pots. After selling the lot to a local florist, they realized the market for unique garden pots was wide open and began to produce them. As they tinkered with designs, they realized the pots would make interesting lamp bases, and the Jamie Young Company was born.
