Key Features

Made in Netherlands
The Press Room Chair from Pastoe angles its backrest and seat into a crisp geometric composition with a distinctly modernist character. Designed by Gerrit Rietveld and made in the Netherlands, the chair recalls the clear lines and architectural thinking found throughout his work. Fabric covers the seat and back, while double-stitched seams sharpen the tailored edges. Straight wooden armrests add natural warmth beside the upholstered surfaces, giving a study, lounge, or reading corner comfortable seating with a strong sense of Dutch design history.

Pastoe

Since 1913, Pastoe has shaped the landscape of Dutch furniture design through a philosophy rooted in clarity, craftsmanship, and enduring functionality. Founded in Utrecht as a small furniture workshop, the company evolved into one of the Netherlands' most influential design houses, creating timeless pieces that balance minimalist aesthetics with everyday practicality. For more than a century, Pastoe has collaborated with some of the country's most celebrated designers, building a collection that continues to define the legacy of modern Dutch design.
