Modern twist on a classic design

I specced these for a modern house in Colorado. They have a clean, modern look but are very comfortable. They were easy to assemble though I'd recommend a hex key set for a powered screwdriver, otherwise it could be quite laborious.
poor quality manufacturing -- impossible to assemble

I'm good at assembling things - for example, I just put together a huge Weber gas grill - but this was impossible. In all of the chairs, I had the same problem: some of the openings were smaller than the items that had to be inserted into them! The directions say that plastic is "persuadable," but that's not true: this is very solid stuff, and it isn't malleable. So, I now have unusable chairs unless I figure out how to carve out larger openings. This is just poor quality in manufacturing. Maybe Loll grew too rapidly to maintain good quality control. Given how much I spent for these chairs, I should not have had this kind of trouble. At Ikea, maybe. But not for more than $500 per item. Stay away. Although I love the idea of Loll using recycled plastic, I don't love the fact that I can't put these together without drilling, carving, and otherwise inventing a way to do the assembly. I could spend a fortune to send them back, but that isn't very appealing, is it?
