Key Features

Eco-Friendly
Made in Italy
Two offset intersections meet at offset corners in the Lepid Double Wall Shelf from Kartell, extending Patricia Urquiola's idea of line-as-composition across a wider wall span. The contrasting painted edges — a hallmark of the Lepid system — read like a hand-drawn gesture at architectural scale. Panels of polyester-lacquered MDF, sourced from FSC-certified forests and connected through interlocking joins, keep the piece strong and straightforward to assemble in a living room, study, or hallway.

Kartell

Based in Milan, Italy, Kartell was founded in 1949 by chemical engineer Giulio Castelli and his wife, architect Anna Castelli. Originally a producer of car accessories, it was Kartell's experimentation in plastics for the home that made them famous. Stylish home accessories and lighting dominated the 1950s, with the first injection-molded furniture emerging in the 1960s. Since then, the Kartell modern furniture line has only continued to grow, including contemporary chairs, tables, sofas and more--all made out of durable, lightweight and surprisingly comfortable plastic.
