Great Design Poor Execution
I love the design of this lamp so thats why I gave it two stars and not one. That being said, when I received the lamp, you just need to use one screw to assemble the feet to the "post" and then screw the shade on. Well, I bought two of these lamps for my nightstands and in both of them, the hole in the post does not line up correctly with the hole in the feet. Basically if you see the post, the hole is off centered which causes the screw to have to go in at an angle and therefore once finally assembled the lamp can be a little crooked. This quality control issue is not to be expected, especially for a lamp in the $1k ballpark. I though that was going to be the only problem but once I completely assembled both of them I noticed that one of that lamps has the dimmer placed at a completely different distance in the cable than the other, like half a foot of a difference which is also absolutely unacceptable. In one of the nightstands the dimmer sits on top of the nightstand and in the other one, the dimmer hangs on the back because of this difference. Again, absolutely unacceptable for a $1k lamp. And third which is the worst killer, after my second night using the lamp, the dimmer just broke and stopped working. Now, I can't dim the light off and have to disconnect it from the wall. I am very mad about this and disappointed especially because I had to wait months for these lamps to be produced and delivered only to now be facing the terrible quality.
