With the Evo-C Chair from Vitra, industry titan Jasper Morrison boils down a familiar silhouette into a collection of comfortable and strong curves. As revealed in its name, Morrison expresses this piece as being part of the classic cantilever’s evolution. Morrison brings a ‘super normal’ approach to design, one focused on rigorously refining rather than inventing. Morrison substitutes the classic steel construction for a lightweight yet equally strong plastic construction. The plastic is formed using an injection molding process, letting the piece achieve fluid curves. The sculptural curves disappear behind your body as they caress it for a blissful seating experience. The seat offers a slight flex for a gentle rocking motion.
