Avant garde Modern Dual, Double & Twin Motor Ceiling Fans | Dual Fans

Why We Love Dual Ceiling Fans

Move twice the amount of air and find unique personality with a dual ceiling fan. Double motor ceiling fans efficiently cut through air while also making a decorative statement in kitchens, great rooms and living rooms or outdoors under covered patios. With a decidedly industrial aesthetic, these fans quickly transform the look and feel of any space, both residential and commercial. With two fan motors and multiple blades moving air in a room, these unique ceiling fan options are sure to keep you cool.

Double Ceiling Fans for Every Room & Application

Carrying a noticeably industrial look, these ceiling fans are meant for areas of the home where they can stand out. Instead of a common single motor and one set of fan blades, these options include two fan motors and two sets of fan blades for you to move more air in a given space. This type of abundant air movement is ideal in large rooms like living rooms or big, open patios and they also work well in commercial spaces like warehouses and high-ceilinged restaurants. The airflow efficiency is higher than that of a typical single-motor ceiling fan, however, the operation cost is not much more. You'll be moving a lot more air and you'll have a stunningly decorative fixture adorning your ceiling. And while the airflow provided by a twin motor fan is immense, you'll also appreciate these fans for their profound character. From sparkling chrome finishes to elegant bronze fans, this curated selection of fans are just as eye-catching as they are efficient.

A Dual Head Ceiling Fan For Every Style

Double motor ceiling fans are often thought of as only fitting in traditional spaces with more classic elements of decor. Due to their fan blade colors and motor finishes, dual fans are able to cleverly fit in among traditionally styled ceiling lights, sconces and portable lamps. However, some styles of double headed fans can work remarkably well in other interior design themes. Twin caged fans like the Gyrette Ceiling Fan by Minka Aire or options from Atlas Fan Company fit a restoration themed home. And Minka's Traditional Gyro Ceiling Fan adds an elegant touch among traditional fixtures and decor. Find contemporary charm in a dual ceiling fan from Craftmade Fans. From sharp lines to sleek brushed nickel finishes, the options from Craftmade are sure to stand out. Outside of the home, wet and damp rated double ceiling fans from Matthews Fans will keep you cool for midday relaxing on the patio or enjoying a warm summer evening. Finally, you may appreciate a double ceiling fan with light to provide you with plenty of illumination, as well as air movement.

How To Choose the Best Double Ceiling Fan

Understanding that a fan with two motors is abundant in size is your first step in choosing the best dual fan. As these fans are known to occupy a lot of space on the ceiling, you'll want to make sure you take the proper measurements before searching for a new fixture. Identify the height and diameter that will work best for your exact application keeping in mind that a fan's diameter is generally its primary dimension. You will also need to determine if your fan will mount perfectly flush with the ceiling, slightly away from the base of the ceiling or extended from the ceiling with a downrod. If you're choosing a new fan for an outdoor living area, be certain it is UL rated for exterior locations where the presence of water may be unavoidable. Lastly, review any additional attributes that might be important to your application. This could include the fan's motor type (AC versus DC), its color and finish, its controls (wall controls, handheld remotes, etc.) and if it includes an integrated light kit.
