The Visu Stool from Muuto presents a sleek, modern character to its surroundings. Of an ideal height to be used next to a breakfast bar or tall dining table, it’s designed by Mika Tolvanen and made from smoothly-lacquered wood, incorporating a set of tall wooden legs that flare out as they curve up and in towards a low-backed one-piece seat. The four legs are held in place by a rounded metal brace that doubles as a leg rest, contrasting its sleek surface with the warmer presence of the wood.
Muuto is firmly rooted in Scandinavian design, hand-picking the best designers from Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark. Their name is inspired by the Finnish word “muutos,” meaning “change” or “new perspective,” and it is this concept that embodies the spirit within each and every piece. Their fearless, sometimes exclusive, use of raw materials such as bulbs, plastics, and metals, represents the great diversity, innovation, and character of true Scandinavian design.

- Clean on a regular basis using a damp and clean cloth. Remove stains using a mild mixture of water and detergent. Avoid contact with sharp objects as these can leave scratches in the wood and lacquer. For textile upholstery versions, please find specific cleaning instructions for your chosen textile at kvadrat.dk. For leather versions, clean leather with a dry cloth regularly. Treat the leather when needed using only special leather treatment products. Both versions with PU lacquer and water-based lacquer of this product can be cleaned with alcohol disinfectant. However, please note that as wooden products will get patina where the surface color can slightly fade. If cleaning is uneven, this may become even more apparent yet the lacquer will stay in place. For wooden products in lighter colors, the patina will be less apparent.
